I'm currently dealing with being a human. That might, or might not, seem like a strange statement. However, I do often find myself slowly slipping out of my human-ness and looking at things from a different perspective, and then honestly wonder how I've survived this long on Earth.
Let me explain.

I'm not that big into Memorial Day. I don't mean that I don't honour and respect the fallen soldiers of wars, it's just I don't go slathering it all over social media or attend ceremonies or anything. It's not my thing. However, there were two things that caught my attention recently and so a blog post was a must, right?
The Sister and I were flipping through the Sunday paper. It's a novelty for us really because we don't have it delivered and we never read it unless it's just randomly laying around somewhere, as was the case today.
I always check the Sports section, not because of actual teams sports, but because of hidden gems like this one supplied in the Outdoors section. It's always something weird and strange and it never fails to be entertaining in one form or another. We both gawked over the size of that Alligator Gar. They're monsters, no matter what size and is why you won't catch me, swimmer of swimmers Miss Otter Girl, taking a dip in any southern waters that I can't see the bottom of. These things are creepy. And they're not all that's out there lurking in those waters. So, I started scanning the article and relaying pertinent information until it simply became ridiculous. The way it was written, I couldn't help but swing into this backwoods southern man accent, which is probably exactly what those two guys in the photo sound like. Then things got real weird. So, I'm really late to the party; eight months late to be exact, but I'm finally watching Season 13 of Supernatural. I could watch it on the telly, but I forget. Plus binge-watching is more fun, so I always wait until Netflix picks up the current season to start watching.
I'm three epi's in, so let's discuss. So, I already wrote one really trippy post about this show, but I've been able to watch a few other epi's and sometimes a girls got more to say. So let's get on, right?
This came through my feed the other day and briefly reminded me of another Gay/Confederacy mash up, which I included in a post. Don't read the post, just look at the photo, unless you're into really lengthy history discussions, then read away. But you've been warned.
All of this Gay/Confederacy stuff would be hilarious, as evidenced by this and the other photo... if it weren't real. This is probably going to be a very strange post, but it keeps being on my mind. Every time that another friend loses a father. There have been quite a few to be honest, with one even happening within the month. My own father is still here, which is great, but I'm also wondering why.
...is of about as much use as a moped in mud. But, it's true. I apparently have the perfect, historical, dowry. The Sister and I joke about marriage. Technically if we lived long ago, we wouldn't have all of this stuff so wouldn't be "perfect" wives to be, but as it stands, we're kitted with vast dowry's and none of it means anything. Which is why we laugh.
Coming across this in my feed made me laugh a little too at the realization of the ridiculousness of it all. Millennials Fireback at Baby Boomers Who Say They Spend Too Much on Unnecessary Luxuries. And it is true. "Power Outage feeling like the Eighteenth Century. If only I hadn't forgotten my panniers... scandalous!" Yes, I think I'm funny. That was my photo and caption on Instagram yesterday. So, the power went out yesterday afternoon, and now we'll explore what that's like for the Roberts family here in the deep south at the oncoming of summer.
There's been a lot of work in the last few days in the neighbourhood. And it's all weird. But then I say that about everything, don't I? Seems so. But it is strange...
