Two days ago, I was in the car driving east down a road I've always traveled. I couldn't say what song had come on the radio or why my mind was suddenly found wandering to my childhood bedroom before I was a teenager and specifically to The Story About Ping; which starts an entire post dedicated to my early music. Read on!

Well, that lead in seems a bit harsh, right? Especially since most Mississippians don't know how to pronounce some of these. Myself, being of thirty eight years, having been born and raised in this state, it's unfair to say I shouldn't be trusted because, I myself, don't know how to pronounce some of these.
The news story, Killings of transgender people in the US saw another high year, today. Twenty eight people last year. Twenty eight people murdered. The number is up to one hundred and twenty eight people since 2013. Almost 130 people have been murdered for nothing more than fear mongering and faerie stories.
As a young child, there were things I would see that I desperately wanted to learn to do, but simply couldn't figure them out. One such thing came back to me today with The Lost Art of Whistling Loudly with your Fingers. Much like the video supplied, I'd spend so much time almost losing consciousness trying to achieve what I'd seen in old films.
Came across this article from Rewire News today, White-Washing White Supremacy: Media Rushes to Excuse Covington Catholic Students. I'd been seeing this incident all over the place and I decided to actually look into it.
This sounds weird, but it's true. My twelve year old self, along with The Sister, were stalking Ray Liotta last night in my dreams. I'm meant to be elsewhere right now, but there was a key mix-up, so I'm missing The Sisters' aromatherapy class. The first one I'll have missed since she began them two years ago. But, I digress. Because I'm not there, you get a dream post.
Just read an article about the list of books you'll never finish reading. While I'm a big reader, I have found that I am not a big reader of "great" literature. Ya know, all those books that are always name dropped and just about everyone has read; or are on school reading lists. But there are some bad books out there and I'm glad someone finally agrees with me. Others though on the list, though few, I did actually enjoy.
A Christmas card sixteen days after Christmas, yet it made my entire day. Why, because it came from Mrs. Christina, that's why!
Educational Shows is really a sweeping statement in this household, coined by myself. Most people that watch Educational Shows watch what society would deem as actually, and factually educational. Shows produced by NOVA, The BBC, National Geographic, PBS, etc. Shows on a variety of topics from space and history to oceans and wildlife of planet Earth.
Eating Baskin & Robbins ice creams always reminds me of a certain friend. She's also been on my mind lately, because her birthday was a few days ago, and just prior to that she was married.
