A friend of mine who is very in to make-up shared this challenge and was participating. I'm not very in to make-up, but thought it would be interesting none-the-less to take a stab at this. So, what's a girl who's not that into beautifucation got to offer for this challenge? Let's see, shall we?

No, really it's all motorbike related pretty much, it's just a hodge-podge mix of things if you will.
So, what's contained within this blog post. Things that rev bikes up to things that rev biker men up so to speak. That's a weird lead in, but there wasn't a better intro than that honestly. So, let's just jump in, right? My housesitting adventure has officially come to a close. Now it's time to return to some normalcy here at The Big Blue House. I have a slew of things I need to be doing more than writing this blog post, but they'll keep for now. I just had a few photos for the last days worth of adventures.
If you read my previous post, Coastal Adventures, then you'll know that I'm in the midst of house sitting for a friend. She's away in the far north of Scotland on an archaeological dig and putzing around having general merriment. She comes home on Sunday.
So far it's just been two weeks exactly, with four more days to go. Or there abouts. So, let's see some pictures of my house sitting adventures. No, I'm not talking about south Mississippi. Though today we're enjoying cool breezes along with our 93 F (feels like 107 F) with 57% humidity. So, it actually feels relatively nice today considering the other days so far, and the one's we'll likely hit soon.
Our weather here is gross. That photo up there is from last year this month. Everyone was red and sweaty faced with their hair plastered to their skulls. This is what everyone looks like in the deep south in the middle of summer. These are our heatwaves that are, in fact, normal. Heat indexes between 100 and 110 degrees fahrenheit with 50 - 90% humidity... and no cooling breezes. Which is why I said today was relatively nice. I'm currently into week two of my house sitting gig. Week two of a three week stint. Eight days down, twelve more days to go. OK, now that the maths are out of the way, yes, I'm house sitting. The friend I'm house sitting for needed us to drive her to the airport for her 7.15 am flight taking her to Scotland. So, here is the adventure day that The Sister and I had last Tuesday.
So, it's the 4th of July... everywhere actually, well except for the far east, since it is in fact the 5th. But I'm getting off track and so soon too. Stateside, it is the day of Independence from England and a time to celebrate 'Merica.
Am I a gung-ho fourther? Nope, not in the least. While I find my life to be quite normal, I realize that it is also possibly pretty strange. I have fun, I get shit done; I just move through the motions, but it certainly isn't the same life anyone else is leading, to my knowledge. But isn't that as it should be?
So, let's just take a look at what this past week looked like for me. None of it is in order, it's just events from Sunday to Sunday. |
