I don't know what has gotten into me lately, but I've been cleaning like I'll win something big on a game show! I feel like I'm on Supermarket Sweep, but of cleaning and organization. It's like I'm nesting, only I'm pretty certain that a stray kitten showing up does not constitute this type of behavour.

This made me laugh when I saw it today. You might be wondering why? Because I am the bearer of Thunder Thighs and apparently a very un-smart Thor would highly approve. It's hilarious!
OK, it probably isn't hilarious, but it's still pretty amusing, to me. Am I going to sit here and talk about Thunder Thighs in this post? Not really, but they do have a minor starring role. See, I've finally gotten that new swim suit I talked about previously! And as a fat girl I'm gonna show it off with pride. This is a continuation and conclusion to my last post because I had a lot of thoughts on the matter of atrocities, and there's a few articles I wanted to link to as well.
This country is currently in the middle of something far more than a bit of a sticky wicket, that's for sure. And at what point does it go from being far removed news to something that's been plucked out of history that tells us how wrong we were? I'm currently reading the book, Sarah's Key, by Tatiana de Rosnay. It's a fictional story weaved around the real events of July 1942 in Paris, France. The Vel' d'Hiv Roundup of Jewish families by the French police before being shuttled off to their murders at Auschwitz.
I'm completely captivated by this book and I'm not even half-way through it yet. So, the stray kitten is fitting in perfectly well with our already strange and weird family, as you can see. So, this is a miniature adventure story that leads to mushrooms!
Fantasy at its best right? This is a photo of something that never happened. That is my father saving me from the jaws of a vicious alligator, while The Sister lends him some moral support. Obviously there's a photo of this, but it's all illusion. It is merely a sculpture of an alligator, its mouth agape, with me leisurely lounging inside with dad pretending to save me.
However, I've been in some rather sticky situations in my life and I'm honestly surprised that I'm still alive to tell the tales. Last night was a weird night. Well, the past two nights have been weird, but more so last night. The Sister is house sitting, so I'm cat sitting The Super Fluff Faerie Kitten, Willow. She needs adoration and attention as well as food and water, so every night after I feed all of the other cats, I come up here and we watch Supernatural together.
Sometimes she begs and chirrups and mows for attention; kneeding me and making a nest in the blanket beside me. Other times she inhales her food like the little piglet that she is and then saunters off to the bedroom for a nice bath and nap, not caring that I'm there at all. Because, ya know... cat. But then large bugs and weird dreams started happening and I'm a little unnerved to go back up there and spend time, actually. Obviously I will, but ya know. Eh... If our adorable snow shoe Siamese, Inky, were a human he'd more than likely look as adorable as the guy pictured on the left. However, while our cat Inky is kind of terrible, he's not nearly as terrible as Serial Killer Ricardo Caputo!
If you've known or read me long enough, you'll have picked up on the term Military Issue Combat Boots at least once, but probably more than that. And there's a reason for that. It's because my only shoes for seven years were those military issue combat boots that I'm always name dropping. The one's I've featured in my teen self portraits up there from age 15 - 18.
I'll not only be talking about those boots, but also my dubious (or fabulous?) fashion choices that are illustrated above, plus my current swim suit woes. Let's dive in, shall we? I suppose congratulations are in order. It appears that I am a mother. What can I say, I seem to be the cat whisperer or something. Or else word has gotten out that this is the hottest place to be in all of catdom?
