Received a letter for a neighbourhood meeting, which was weird because we never have these. But the city owns some sewer lines in the county (we do pay for our sewer through them) and they're starting up an eight month project to lay new lines. I didn't want to go, but also I wanted to know what to expect. Mom and The Sister wouldn't have wanted to go & dad can't hear anybody, so I volunteered as tribute.

Unlike most people in my friends list, I do like to look at the memories section on Facebook. Today it was a survey I filled out about two years ago with the headline of 25 random facts about yourself that may surprise friends...😳 . So, let's see, shall we?
Read this article today from the local paper about a strip mall I visit near my house. I feel like an old hippie, coming of age in the late 1960s or the 1970s, but that article and the quotes were rather shocking. The word "Gentrified" actually appears early on in the article and is the second of a slew or off-putting phrases. "The right fit" was the first one.
Had the weirdest and most random miniature adventure on Sunday. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it really happened.
So, I dropped The Sister off for her play date, which is what I was calling it, but really it was a work thing, then I drove to the library to drop off some books in the return bins outside. I have seen this basic sentiment shared so many times, but just was the most recent one I saw. They bother me to no end... because it's like comparing kittens to apples, y'all.
