Received a letter for a neighbourhood meeting, which was weird because we never have these. But the city owns some sewer lines in the county (we do pay for our sewer through them) and they're starting up an eight month project to lay new lines. I didn't want to go, but also I wanted to know what to expect. Mom and The Sister wouldn't have wanted to go & dad can't hear anybody, so I volunteered as tribute.

Unlike most people in my friends list, I do like to look at the memories section on Facebook. Today it was a survey I filled out about two years ago with the headline of 25 random facts about yourself that may surprise friends...😳 . So, let's see, shall we?
Read this article today from the local paper about a strip mall I visit near my house. I feel like an old hippie, coming of age in the late 1960s or the 1970s, but that article and the quotes were rather shocking. The word "Gentrified" actually appears early on in the article and is the second of a slew or off-putting phrases. "The right fit" was the first one.
Had the weirdest and most random miniature adventure on Sunday. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it really happened.
So, I dropped The Sister off for her play date, which is what I was calling it, but really it was a work thing, then I drove to the library to drop off some books in the return bins outside. I have seen this basic sentiment shared so many times, but just was the most recent one I saw. They bother me to no end... because it's like comparing kittens to apples, y'all.
My twentieth high school reunion is coming up this Saturday. There's a myriad of reasons I won't be going, which is weird, because when this picture was taken I couldn't wait for my first high school reunion to happen.
I've been watching The Twilight Zone recently. All the way through, all in order. The original series only. I'm not really all that interested in reboots or sequals. One reason I'm watching it is that I've only seen like five epis ever (either in childhood or while house sitting last year). I hadn't even seen that famous one "Eye of the Beholder" until last year, though I'd seen it referenced most of my life.
I enjoy watching it because it tells me a lot about life in the 1950s and early 1960s. You might be laughing, thinking that that is absurd, but it's true. I'll explain. This post... is not what you think it is. You're probably thinking about a female literally becoming a male. No, this is really a case of "I'm not really a man, I just play one on TV" sort of deal.
Still confused? Follow me & I'll explain! The video above is by Caitlin Doughty via her Youtube show, Ask A Mortician. She's a funeral director, authoress, and founding member of The Order of the Good Death. I dig her stuff, so I watch a lot. Got into her because of a friend.
It's a good watch and I agree with her statements, it's just I feel like, yet again, I'm trapped in The Mandela Effect. If you are a Mississippian, or have relatives who live here that you speak to on a regular basis, then you'll know all about the new license plates we're getting this year. I've collected all of the license plates that I remember through to the new one so you can see and understand the woe.
