So, today, four days before Christmas, which is supposed to be the holiday of love, charitable giving, and family, I am gobsmacked to read that American's have raised over 11 million dollars to fund President Trumps border wall between the southern US and Mexico. They raised those funds via a Go Fund Me account in the same amount of days. Just four. It took only four days to raise millions upon millions upon millions of dollars; an act that shows just how simple minded, how arrogant, and how uneducated that most Americans really are.
They're building a fucking wall. A wall. And for what? The proposed threat from people "different" from them. For every one illegal alien that truly does commit some sort of crime in this country, there are twenty born and bread Americans committing the same crime. It's a sham. It's the higher ups wanting control; of situations, of money, ... of you; spreading middle school gossip to get you onto the wrong band wagon. Illegal aliens are not a threat. Not in the work force and not in criminal activities. You keep chanting your ill-advised mantra of "Fake News", but actually take a moment to step away from your very biased Fox and Breitbart news centers and just read accounts from everywhere. See where all of the exaggerations are from all the news you will then be reading and use some common fucking sense to see the middle. You think that you're a bleeding heart, a glorified hero of smashing Fake News because your two lonely news centers are the only one's that are correct? Give me a fucking break. Even when the Nazi party was rising up in Germany they were the lone one's out in a sea of other people clamouring to say the opposite. You're probably on the wrong side, just as the Nazi's were. Just as any lone sad "hero" in his time is delusioned to think that he's the only one that's correct. It usually means he's so far off correct that he will become infamous for it. Laying waste to everything before he's put down. Choose your side wisely. Do you realize that with over 11 million dollars you could have helped your own country in real and worthy ways? What about all the homeless people? Even if you secretly despise homeless people and just want them gone, well the best way to get rid of them is using your 11 million dollars to make them no longer homeless. You could give them houses. Oh, but I'm obviously forgetting just how selfish you really are. You state that you want to make America great and safe; for your family and others, but really it's only about yourself... or the right sort of people, whatever that personally means to you. But it certainly doesn't mean whomever you feel is beneath you; whether or not they are Americans. What about using that money to help the environment. Hang if you don't "believe" in global warming. I won't even bring that in to the mix. But what about the factories that still pollute waterways. Sure you're selfish because fuck the fish and bears and other wild creatures, who cares, because I am Man! But, those toxins trickle down and you'll end up eating that fish, so if you're going to be selfish, be selfish in a right way. Save the environment so you don't eat tainted meat or aren't drinking toxic pond scum. You know... do if for your family. Or how about starving children. That 11 million could go a long way to feeding a lot of children for a lot of years. Oh, but I'm forgetting that most of the children that probably go hungry aren't white, and therefore aren't worth your time (even though a lot of white children do go hungry, but I keep forgetting that you're uneducated). But why not use your selfishness to your advantage? Those children, if you feed them, won't die or have health problems later. They'll enter a work force and put money into the economy. You might could get rich off of that. What about battered women? This could help a lot of women get away from very cruel and deathly relationships and get back on their feet. Oh, but women don't matter, because they probably should be property of their husbands, am I right? Ah, but get them out of that situation and just like the starving children, you could make money off of them later; as these women will have to get a job and put money into the economy. Sounds like change in your pocket, man. Or what about helping the veterans. The man who started the Go Fund Me account is a veteran and even lost three limbs! Surely he would want to help the veterans! It's difficult to transition back into society after being trained for and seeing combat. That's why so many veterans fall through the cracks. It's like Frodo returning to The Shire after all that One Ring business. You probably couldn't bother to read the books, but I'm sure you saw the films; surely that ending wasn't lost on you, right? Besides the fact that wounded veterans need medical care and supplies. You shout for veterans rights, so why isn't this whopping 11 million going towards them again? Or what about helping to invest in health care for all. I know, know, it'll help all the people you don't like and you're selfish, I get it. You only want to help your own. But guess what! It will help your own! All those gloriously white Christians will be super healthy and can try to dominate the world again because they won't have to worry about money for their diabetes or money for this or that surgery or prescriptions. You can get out there and change some heathen hearts while you're all well and stuff. See? It's a win-win no matter which way you look at it. Everyone can win and benefit, and you can keep to your own selfish, infantile reasons. It's a no brainer, right? So, why in the holy fuck are we using all of this money to build some dumb ass wall? That isn't needed. No, it is NOT needed. It turns out that you have been made to believe that this is some sort of threat that should be dealt with. And I'm tired of hearing about this right way to enter the country. There really isn't a right way, considering somehow we're all, in a round-about-way, related to someone who just trooped in and said that the Indigenous peoples were merely "savages" and stole their land from them. Or we are descended from people who were stolen from their lands and shipped over here and forced in. None of that was "the right way". Or how about when The US decided to just open it's doors during the mid-late 19th century and early 20th centuries (you know, the whole flooding in of immigrants via Ellis Island?). A lot of you come from that. Basically there was no becoming a citizen involved. They just waved you through... if they liked you. And BAM! you're in and that process was naturalization. You didn't have to preform in some dog and pony show to become a citizen, you just were. Or what about the time after that, when the US closed it's immigration flood and started a more strict regime, much like we have in place today. Congrats if your white grandparents or parents made it through "the right way". But guess what? It's not because they were more worthy or special. It was because they had a lot of money (either for just paying people off or having the funds to continue to re-do the process, which isn't cheap), looked just like the sort of people American wanted on her land, spoke enough English, or whatever. I am a white person, with white parents and grandparents. I've never known a relative who was trying to become a citizen or who was here illegally, and yet I understand how scary all of this is. If I came here and wanted to become a citizen, I wouldn't, because the entire system is so tricksy. If Sally worker has had a bad Tuesday, they could send you back. If Sally worker had a good Tuesday, she might let you try to become a citizen. It's not cheap, and it's not easy, and it's quite scary and daunting. Plus, what if I came as a refugee from a war torn country. Well, it's all up in the air about that as well. Some days you're considered a refugee and others your not. It's like having a mother who is insane. You pick flowers for her one day and it makes her happy. You pick them for her on another day and she beats you and you don't know why. You learn not to trust your insane mother because you don't know which mother you will get on which day or what will set her off. That's America. And my white people have been here since the early 1800s and I can even see that America is like an insane mother. Why can't you? Besides the very fact that most born American citizens can't even pass the fucking test. If you can't pass it, then what the hell makes you think someone not learning this history could pass it? All I ever hear is "my people came here legally" or "the right way" (as does the creator of that certain Go Fund Me account) when in fact, most of the time that's rather a false statement as I've outlined above. If you believe that your people came over on the Mayflower (which very few people are descended from them, so you're probably incorrect with that family story), then your family came here illegally. It wasn't a free country even though you like to kid yourself into believing that. Your ancestors were illegal and stole land from others, possibly killed others to gain that land. If your ancestors came here prior to 1920, then they became citizens through naturalization, which is something that you are vehemently against in this day and age; touting it as "the wrong way" and also saying it's something that America's never done before. Pfft. Read some fucking history books and get back to me on that when you've found the same page. While this whole fiasco is rather irksome to me, I've cooled against it quite a bit since learning earlier this evening that our cat died. There are more important and personal things in life. There are more important things than building this stupid border wall and there are more important things for me to attend to than writing a blog post that people will not read, much less the people wasting their money on hate and fear mongering. I have to go and dig a grave for something that I loved now. I hope your border wall blows up in you face, metaphorically though, because I still don't wish y'all any harm.
